Elaina Montague, Ph.D. & Clinical Supervisor
My name is Elaina (she/her). I’m a licensed clinical psychologist, researcher, and consultant in NYC. I help teens and young adults—along with adults across the lifespan—navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I walk with clients through the messy, meaningful work of becoming more fully themselves.
My style blends evidence-based tools with genuine warmth. I draw on CBT and DBT-informed approaches to build coping skills, shift unhelpful patterns, and strengthen how you relate to yourself and others. I’m especially committed to trauma-informed care that emphasizes safety and empowerment, and I practice in an affirmative, culturally responsive way so you can bring your whole self.
I’m licensed in NY and NJ and offer in-person and telehealth sessions. Outside private practice, I lead a treatment team at Northwell Health and serve as an Assistant Professor at the Zucker School of Medicine.
If any of this sounds promising, I’d love to work together—let’s take the next step when you’re ready, or even stumble into it together. You don’t have to figure it out alone!
